I genuinely don’t understand how they believe these seasonal changes will go down well. For years Bungie has conveyed the idea of earning weapons and gear and forming a story and attachment to those armaments however with EOF we are now forced to treat guns in a transactional manner lest we punished with reduced combat efficacy.
It’s like going from Pokémon where you care for you Mon’s and take them through a 20+ hour journey to Shin Megami Tensei or Persona where it’s like fuck my demons I’m just gonna sacrifice them to make a better one.
These changes blatantly disrespect your time. The time which you invested into the past content where I farmed master Witness for my god roll Imminence (adept) to the future where I’d farm a god roll T5 raid fusion that will be imminently (heh) hamstrung. Armor will become frankly unusable after it rotates out as well. In a game where you collect loot, you are fucking punished for using loot from collection. It’s fucking mind numbing. They made a system that both punishes and rewards you for chasing new loot as it’s initially good and then ruined in 6 months.
If any devs or friends of devs are reading this, you gotta tell me what the fuck is happening in those board meetings when this stupid fucking seasonal bonus is discussed? I cannot fathom it
