Problem isn't the skilltrees.
The problem is Fatshark's insistence on being retarded and refusing to actually balance shit in a sensible, smart manner. Like actually buffing enemy health and making them more dangerous. Like they should have.
But no, instead they only buffed enemy health very minorly and then decided to resort to just "clown cars of elites + 3 bosses" approach to balance, which then fucked any last shred sense the game had.
And this is retarded way of doing it because most of the OP shit in the skilltrees is triggered on elite and specialist kills. Meaning more you spam elites and specialists, easier the game gets because you can trigger shit like psykinetic's aura 3 times per second due to killing elites, which then lets you spam your super strong combat abilities constantly.
Also this "clown cars of elites" shit is what has landed this game into this braindead meta that's dominated by the dueling sword. Because when the AI director just spawn 10-20 crushers at once, the only fucking solution to that problem is shit like the dueling sword or other high power weapon that just rapes carapace.
This is one of the main reasons why people whine about DS being one of the only good weapons and rest are trash, because it is sadly kind of true.
Darktide would not be in this fucking position if Fatshark and its devs could pull their heads out of their asses and realize that spamming elites is not a sensible way to do difficulty in a game like this, especially how other shit is designed.
Also we wouldn't be in this shithole currently if Fatshark could actually listened to player feedback AND did balance patches on a timely manner instead of doing them 1 every quarter like the retards they are.
