Has there been any JRPG that feels like FFIV-V-VI which is just the town section and talking to npcs and seeing how they are real characters with a real personality and seeing how they become old and get kids and those also get old and have kids?

bros, imagine if in my checkers waifu game, you have to play 12 games to fugg 12 * 16 waifu tokens, which are then used as the initial seed values to a procedural story generator, and in the end you get a basic novel that describe the game that you had in a .txt file.
