Depends what you want out of the gun
I dont think the magwell is necessary on a gen 5 but the OEM poly one is cheap and if you hate it its easy to get out of. If you had anything gen 3 the magpul magwells are easy to source and worth. I had a second gen 5 glockwell on my 19 but it printed too much AIWB so I gave it to a friend. The red anodized aluminum xxxUSPSAxxx_6969 magwell will indeed funnel mags about as well as a polymer one. Brass gamer magwells will help weigh the pistol down which is nice if thats what youre going for.
Another thing to consider is your magazines you actually use with the handgun. Flat baseplates in most of these magwells make them really difficult to strip if you have a fucked up feeding situation. I run +2s on all my 17 mags so I have all the purchase needed but if you want a flush fit setup id really avoid any magwell, especially on a gen 5.
