At the very least, Subaru should have gone gung-ho in exploiting RBD the moment he discovered that his timeline respawn point changed. It's shown a little in the show (I believe in that Witch trial?) where he's forced to relive the timelines after he dies, which is brutal, but he completely fails the psychological test here, which is that any timeline in which he's alive is the only one that is real and truly matters.
What I'd really love to see would be Seiya from Cautious Hero, but in Subaru's shoes. You just know he'd exploit the fuck out of RBD.

Haven't watched solo leveling, but it's pretty much assumed that if that were possible, every isekai world would have done it already. The point that drives the plot is that normal people are completely incapable of reaching the heights that heroes do. Even picrel with a pool of infinite isekai hero MCs kowtows to the fact that this one autist is exceptional but only because he is the most overly cautious man to ever grace this earth. If the normals could reach his level of preparedness, there wouldn't be demon lords to defeat.
