So the ASF took ground fire went out of control, and it's "crash hex" was overlapping a shut-down Overlord DropShip. Specifically, the ASF reached an Altitude of 0 in the CENTRAL hex of a DropShip. Crashing ASF rules are found on TW page 81-82.
"All units in hexes affected by a
crash have a chance to avoid damage. The controlling player of the crashing unit rolls 1D6 for each unit in the affected hexes. Noninfantry units take no damage on a result of 1–2."
So, the ASF is crashing into a grounded, immobile DropShip. Into the CENTER HEX of that unit. Explain why the DropShip should get a "saving throw" on a 1-2 if the unit takes up the ENTIRE hex and is totally immobile. All instances of "DropShip" in the "crashing aero units" rules only handle what happens when a DropShip is CRASHING. Not what happens when a grounded DropShip is CRASHED INTO by an out of control aerospace unit.
