/tv/ - Kind of boring

I really didn't like it. The opening voice over giving exposition was cringe, the weird POV repetition thing was really tedious (especially the cop's one), there was tons of generic and random jumpscare moments that made little sense, it was really predictable and full of tropes so there were no surprises through most of it, the casual confirmation of the aunt being a witch about halfway through ruined any of the mystery or tension of what happened to the kids, the focus on the boring lives of boring characters wasted so much time, the dad's weird dream sequence was pointless, and then it all immediately turned on its head and became a comedy once the dad and the teacher got into the kid's house.

I've seen people praising this as some sort of creative masterpiece, but it's one step away from being a parody. It's like someone took Prisoners, Longlegs, Cobweb, and Pulp Fiction, put it all in a blender, and then poured the remains into a mold of the most paint-by-numbers Jordan Peele film.

I love superheroes, but there's so many shit ones. Here's the few good MCU movies:

>Iron Man
>The Incredible Hulk
>Thor
>Captain America
>Avengers
>Winter Soldier
>Guardians of the Galaxy
>Age of Ultron
>Civil War
>Guardians of the Galaxy 2
>Infinity War
>Thunderbolts

That big fucking span of time between Infinity War and Thunderbolts was full of absolute dogshit. Marvel started off so strong but then gave up and started shitting out whatever trash they could, thinking fans would just lap it up, but all it did was cause fatigue.

And before any useless false dichotomy Americunts start moaning I'm a DC fanboy, Superman is my favourite character but here's the list of good DCEU movies:
