>So, after some stories that surfaced online about the melting issues of the 12VHPWR power cables for the RTX 5090 and the RTX 4090, I’ve decided to check the one we’ve been using these two years for the RTX 4090. So, what has happened to that power cable? Has it melted? Let’s find out.
>So, here are some screenshots from the power cable. As you can see, it has signs of degradation. The plastic around one connector has been slightly melted. So yes, the melting issues are real.
Lmao all 4090s and for sure 5090s with the higher power draw are for the trash in a couple years. dso gaming did everything right and still with regular use this happens. Imagine buying a $1600+ or $2000+ gpu with a planned obsolescence connector that fails after a fear years of use. Meanwhile shills and nvidiots doing damage control here and on r*ddit everyday that the connector is a great flawless design and all cases are user error just slandering the glorious jensen and his cult of geforce.

Technological implications of all Nvidia flagships since RTX 3090 being guaranteed to all die from melting before the decade is out?

That's great nvidia xister. Just make sure you never unplug it and check the connector. Its not slowly degrading and melting if you can't see it!!
Schrodingers connector!!!

Pic related is what the official connector that came with an RTX 4090 looks like after two years of regular use. Nice melted plastic, and this card draws 150 watts less then 5090. If you own a 5090 and don't undervolt you are at risk of cable failure and fire in the future it's as simple as that.
