You're a fucking doofus if you think working harder is going to keep you on the payroll dude. I tried it myself, then read these threads. Management either A: Doesn't care B: Sees you working twice as hard and wonders why YOU are working 30-60% more time for the same result, or C: They see you work your ass off and decide to run you ragged and then cut you off the line. Set some fucking boundaries with your management and work smarter. You should be asking yourself about your work "Is there any way to make this automated/faster" and if there is, DO IT and make your work seem effortless.

Penny wise pound foolish my anon. If you encounter a company like this you need to run. If they cheap out on laptops their enterprise infra and sec-ops are being fucked on as well. Kind of like how a restaurant that doesnt clean their menus with a wet wipe or wipe down the table are usually messy kitchens.

No, they all go through it as a sort of phase, really. Seen a lot of companies do it when some middle manager or C-SUite comes in and wants to make thier mark, so they outsource for cheapo labor and it bites them in the ass. Tale as old as time.

How'd they do anon. We're in the same boat, but in a phased rollout by dept. Been slowly pushing to people for 4 months now. Ups and downs, things go smoothly.
