Its absolutely true. If you were raised by Boomers they absolutely did not give a fuck about anything. Child supervision is an entirely new concept. When I got my first job at 14 I had to walk 2.5 miles both ways to work, parents gave no fucks, and I never got a ride even if I got off at 11pm, had to walk home through the cemetery at night to avoid walking past the housing projects. Peoples parents would leave town for multiple days without them all the time, and we would go over to their houses to drink and smoke pot..... lol.
Its kind of counterintuitive that the people raised like this went on to become helicopter parents; but I think there are still a lot of parents out there that let their kids do whatever, they just monitor their location history, etc.
