>Gsync is a hardware solution
>Freesync is a software solution
>Adaptive sync dynamically enables/disables bog-standard Vsync depending on your monitor's max FPS.

I prefer Gsync, but that's just me. Freesync has come a long way and is much cheaper, but either technology has its advantages and disadvantages.

I did a study with Tom's Hardware in conjunction with Newegg back in the day, and they're nearly identical, where there was rampant brand-bias.

I wouldn't bother with the 50-series and/or Nvidia, at least not until they get their prices under control.

The trick to getting a card at MSRP is to purchase whatever card within a week or two of release, at least as far as Micro Center is concerned. I picked up both an Arc B570 and RX 9060 XT at MSRP because I either bought them at launch or shortly after before the retail decided to jack up the prices.
