Lore is bullshit deep on why the world is like this and what's going on, but just like the cute art the cast is actually pretty wacky happy-go-lucky even when fucked up danger lurks behind a corner and everything is coming to kill you.

For those interested, SEQUEL isn't a gacha though the women are mostly casual about men. Usually because NPCs are from places with enough mana for comfort. The random encounters are actually because wild monsters seek mana (You) and there tends to be in each area 1 of those that have rape scenes (which can involve murder)
