Erlking vs Wild Hunt is a case exclusive to them because of Canto 6 bullshit. Wild Hunt would eventually become an Erlking had Clear All Catherine never happened but our Bloodfiends don't have a similiar conditional that would logically block them from accessing their full power.
The only logical explanation for the latter would be (le contract) but that makes me wonder why you'd even go out of your way to use these if they'll get nerfed to the level of Yi Sang anyways.
