>do the Dark mission in Air Fleet, visibly blowing up the president's plane into a fiery shitwreck
>the cutscene shows him alive and the plane perfectly fine, the exact same outcome as if I did Neutral or Hero instead
Possibly the worst execution of a "you make choices and they '''matter'''" system possible.

And that's not even getting to how they "connect" story routes together.
>do the Hero mission in Air Fleet, Shadow helps Tails kill a bunch of aliens at an airport, putting you into the Neutral path
>after this, for no fucking reason whatsoever, Shadow suddenly "realizes" he's a robot clone and randomly runs off to go kill Eggman, leaving the entire build-up of the humans vs aliens war, Black Doom trying to convince Shadow to join him, and the GUN commander wanting him dead up until that point to vanish without resolution.
