Humanity peaked in Germany in the 1930's
For fellow Amerimutts, we were born after the peak. The peak was whoever and whenever those "Tartarian" buildings were built. We've only ever known a dead country, propped up by illusion.
The 1990's seemed better than now, because there was less multiculturalism, less multiracialism, less addictive entertainment, and far less isolation. There was national identity, cohesion, shared values - a sense of belonging. A country you could feel proud of. A place where you knew if you worked for it, it would work for you. Being a functioning adult was enough to get a girlfriend. Now we all know that is no longer the case, so we feel nostalgic, isolated, alienated, nihilistic, and so forth. The Amish on the other hand, haven't skipped a beat in the last 200 years.
