Hit or miss, some are easy, some are ridiculously convoluted. Mekkatorque in BFA for example required players to read off colors on robots so the people inside who couldn't see the colors could shut them off. When they really do make interesting mechanics they work, problem is people use addons to solve them so they become just another thing you do. I would say the upper end of innovative and interesting mechanics goes to WoW, XIV is designed to be beaten by a large amount of people and thus kept horribly simple as a result. The amount of mechanical variances in this game where they actually complicate things are few and far between, i.e cursed meteors in DSR which you can still solve but it really isn't an engaging mechanic.

Again, some. XIV jobs are horribly generic and don't get me started on how we had to make Viper even easier 3 weeks in because people couldn't properly manage a 45 second cooldown and bricked their rotation.

Sloth/Wrath Combo exists, also the WoW single button is designed to suck ass, it has a baseline increased GCD and doesn't use major CDs. All it really does it use procs and filler abilities. It's worse than playing regularly BY DESIGN. SlothCombo does all your thinking for you and is far more abusive.

You mod your characters to make them playable and people go apeshit without Dalamud and thus their mods. Try again. Turn off your ReShade and Mods then play for a month and get back to me.

Nah, I would definitely say the people I've met in /xivg/ are certainly worse than the ones I've met in /wowg/ or even just normies. Most XIV normies are Second Life Club Gooners moving here because they can't properly play VRC.
