I'm waiting on the PC reviews to make my decision. The price point is a little ridiculous and UE5 shit performance is a thing. If it handles proper stable frames on high end hardware, then sure I guess. I can waste the cash, it's still MGS3 after all. I've read they fucked up the ladder scene musical timing with the new main theme though (which sounds worse, objectively), which is a crime against humanity if real.

Raiden being the new main player vessel you mean? And yes, he's an intentional whiny little faggot (at first) in comparison to the gruff solid snake. But ultimately it was worth it for that rookie perspective and the idolization of the legend that is Solid Snake. In the end, Raiden proves himself to be as ballsy as Snake though.

That's where our opinions diverge. Yes, he intentionally set up Raiden to be disliked at the start but for me he does evolve as he became more of his own man throughout the game and not just an empty vessel for the player.

Not saying the criticisms you both have aren't valid because he sure hamfisted it pretty hard right out of the gate and most certainly too hard judging from the criticisms at release. It just werks for me.
