1/8, it makes literally no sense. Too big for limited space situations, too small for everything else. 1/7 are good for figures that are naturally big based on the original artwork where going bigger would cause logistical issues for most collectors, see pic related as an example, the figure is already 45cm tall and has a huge base. 1/6 and beyond are always better for characters/artwork that don't need that much space to begin with, because it lets the details shine.
