My irl is boring as I spend much of my days bedrotting or doing a lot of work. My escape from all of this tends to be dreams. There I am very similar to my current personality, it's just that I get to live much more in there. I have friends, family, sometimes a girlfriend and a lot of adventures.
I tend to dream very elaborate scenarios that I write in my dream journal, and it can take up to an hour to write down a whole dream session.
Lately it feels like I have more fun in my dreams than I do irl, and the places I visit tend to be their own universe. So I have dreamt of parallel worlds with their own buildings and things to do, like living through other versions of me. I have catalogued a lot of these parallel universes.
Is it normal for dreams to be better than real life? They feel more real than my current life and this life tends to feel fake at times.
