Elden Ring was made with mass appeal in mind, so it's obvious why they would make it so ridiculously easy to get a really good build early on, because the vast majority of people who play the game will immediately search for the most busted early game weapon they can find and stick with that for the overwhelming majority of the game. It's also why you can immediately get shit like the Blessed Dew Talisman right from the beginning of the game, or even the Dragoncrest Shield Talisman. Hell, they even made it so that if all you level up is Vigor, you'll be completely fine. It's obviously intentional to broaden the potential playerbase by making it as accessible as possible, to the point that they give you your own personal summons to use for difficult areas and bosses.
