Can someone explain to me why exactly this game is the most hated in the series?

I haven't seen a single anon say anything positive about it. Its like this is the modern day Sonic 06 or Superman 64.

I don't understand how this game is so bad? Not really bad, but the weakest in the series? Can someone help me understand. Even I consider it the worst and a complete downgrade from 2, but I don't know why.
