I did research an actual "blind your ass" light that I use when it's actually dark when I go out. I legitimately forget what it is, but they do free custom laser engraving. I got my wife a smaller cheaper light from a different company that took a month to ship gun china. It's almost as bright but heats up terribly. She sees that as a feature since it doubles as a hand warmer. (We also have 3 fire extinguishers and many smoke detectors.)

This all came about from researching a light for my home defence gun. That ended up being an Olight Valkyrie pd turbo.

Speaking of which, what's the best way to buy cr123a USA made batteries? The hand lights are rechargeable but the gun light batteries are disposable.

This was what I learned looking into weapon lights for my Luigi special, but it applies here. Basically the high end lights from 3 years ago are getting logged by the latest chinesium. The cheapest crap on amazon today is better than the most expensive thing you find buy 5 years ago.
