I think amberprice can work as a ship, but only if we are talking about comic Rachel. Her comic version is basically a new character and seems like a nice enough match for Chloe.
BtS Rachel is just vile and the game basically evens stops dead to just explicitly tell the player to your face that Rachel is bad for Chloe.
Having dealt with many amberprice fans over the years. I'm pretty sure most of them are just fans of 'toxic yuri' and do not care about how fucking nightmarish and abusive a relationship like that would actually be in a series as grounded as LiS. Plenty of them also just hate Chloe, so they do not really care what the relationship would actually look like for her.

I mean, I may ship Victoria and Kate. But even I basically only ship AU versions of them.
