KH1 being the first it put the setting stone of what to expect from this series, i must say that KH1 felt "magical" very disney-ish with colorful characters, a simple story to follow and the interaction with the characters all feeling you're as part of their story without breaking immersion or 4th wall. The problem is that KH2 you were watching the movies unfold with you at the side, sure it improved the combat but at the cost of boring cutscenes? also it lost the disney magic when introducing organization 13 which it wasn't awful but it felt like that that point they couldn't synergize 2 concepts making disney be secondary to the plot and also executives protecting their brand for some weird reason making the entire point of kingdom hearts pointless
