Even when thrown in with a thousand other demos it raises the chances of your game being seen by some streamer going through games for a day or for word of mouth catching on to spread it around by a ton.
Otherwise the alternative is your game will appear under the "New Releases" tab for 6-12 hours when it comes out and if no one see's it then you're basically fucked.
