There were flash floods in Tennessee that came out of nowhere. A foot of rain they said, but cars were clearly overtopped by the water in some places. I'm 2 hours away from there, but we got a huge storm and the only thing I could think while sitting on the deck was this doesn't sound or feel normal at all. The thunder was precluded by what sounded like a giant boat horn or some shit, and then a smattering of thunder all over. Even the lightning wasn't right, it was all over and didn't synch up with the thunder at all. It made me feel pretty fucking uneasy. Either I'm just a paranoid midwit or something is seriously wrong.
