Has it occurred to anyone that in order for someone to become a vessel for us, they have to receive extreme psychological shock?
The whole thing with Kris' repressed trauma, the forgotten man and art therapy, and what we do in chapter 4 weird route to Noelle made me really think of this. Trance in this context is supposed to be this emotionally numb state where a person is extremely malleable, usually as a result of psychological/emotional exhaustion.
I assume the reason why we control Kris in the first place is that they suffered from something similar, and their rising control in the normal route mirrors them letting go of the trauma.
