Unironically giving up entirely on gacha wasn't easy, but it did a whole lot to reinvigorate my drive to play more games. I spent literally thousands of dollars from 2021 to 2025 on gacha shit, and have been clean for a few months now. In the time since I stopped, I've played and completed several games, some with over 100 hours played. I still enjoy some of the characters, but it'll be better for me to enjoy them from afar.

I only stopped playing because it became such a fucking pain in the ass to login every single day and actually feel like playing the game. Not to mention the bait-and-switch I knew they would pull where they release a handful of furry characters post launch and then never again, instead just resorting to waifu slop where the majority of designs look like idol shit.
