I think, and you would too if you applied yourself, that there is a difference between buying an American product manufactured in China than a Chinese game made in China. Agents are available on trial in story commissions and Hollow Zero's Taskforce mode so you don't necessarily have to own the character to "enjoy" your mods, either.

Zzz might be the most generous gacha I have ever played.

Generally speaking people mod sexy stuff into games without it because they enjoy a game with good gameplay. You don't add sex mods to something where the selling point is sexy stuff. If anything you'd mod it to add enjoyable gameplay, but that would be a shitload of work.

Even if you pirate the mods (all the good ones are pay walled), you still have to unlock the characters which are obnoxiously expensive.

this new area with mods is way too overstimulating I can't play long before I have to bust and stop playing, but npc mods constantly breaking is really annoying hopefully they chill for a while. Sometimes I get an autism kick and want to play the endgame modes for a few hours. tower and deadly assault are pretty fun to try and max out, but I usually just take the minimum rewards.

Unironically giving up entirely on gacha wasn't easy, but it did a whole lot to reinvigorate my drive to play more games. I spent literally thousands of dollars from 2021 to 2025 on gacha shit, and have been clean for a few months now. In the time since I stopped, I've played and completed several games, some with over 100 hours played. I still enjoy some of the characters, but it'll be better for me to enjoy them from afar.
