The mobile are certainly not better than console controls, maybe unless you have a tablet sized screen at least. Even on mobile the best way to play is with a controller accessory. I say that as someone who played mostly on mobile (ipad and on an S24 ultra) before the game released on PS5 and then when it finally became playable on linux.
