You spent 7 mana on a do nothing card that can be eradicated by removal that cost less than 25% of it. If you're spending that much mana it should be to fill up the board or play a game ending threat. Someone will probably blow it up before you are able to get a single card out of it and you'll be down 7 mana and a card - basically a whole turn - AND you'll probably have lost life too while it sat there not advancing your game plan.
Meanwhile for the exact same cost in the exact same colors you could've played a card that has far less removal made for it, exiled any colored permanent, gained life, drew a card, and put a threat on the board that HAS to be answered or people's shit will start getting exiled like crazy.
