I don't fully agree with >>106342032 but it's true HD6XX have no subbass and you can't add a whole lot because of bass distortion. I don't know your budget but a planar would work better for metal. LCD-2C or Aeon RT/X are both solid options. If that's too expensive then Verum One or HE400SE. Chinkfiman has dogshit QC but that model in particular sounds pretty good and isn't too expensive.

Stax has so very few dealers outside Japan, it's insane. Where I live it's like 2 stores in the entire country lmao. And there are so very few other good electrostat models.

If you don't mind heavy then Maxwell is fine. It's marketed as le gamer but it's an actual good headphone. S5 should be fine too and uses drivers based on LCD-1 so it's still Audeze, kind of.

Audeze genuinely cannot tune their headphones. They get better with EQ but I couldn't stand the weight of the 2.
