The damage is already done. Usopp could awaken super duper legendary KoKiCucKecock haki out of a legend that hadn't been in the manga till now, solve all the plot's issues, the sinking world thing, upthrow the WG and end world hunger, become a golden being that humbled everybody else in the story, and it would still leave no one satisfied. Not Usopp fans, not Usopp haters. Not your average OP reader. And it won't happen anyways, nothing's gonna happen with him. I'd be very surprised if he even managed to muster some courage and defeat a weak disposable underling.

The damage to his character is so deep, he's been so long dead buried and rotten, it's part of him by this point. Everyone's given up on Usopp, first and foremost, the audience and Oda. I am completely convinced all those "Elbad will be Usopp's arc!!" where people poking fun and falseflagging to have a laugh.

I still like gen 5 specially the region it comes in, but in a way its designs continued a downward spiral that gen 4 started, that's why some people will always hate those games. For my money they're the last Pokemon games worth paying any attention to.

Scyther destroys. Compare him to a potato shaped lump like Salamence or a scolioses-ridden awkward flat lizard thing with flippers like Groudon, which are supposed to be cool ones. At least pick actually cool looking gen 3-5 pokes like Aggron, Abomasnow or Haxorus.
