I love the Chocobo treasure. It just works in any game. And because monsters don't drop money and money is so hard to come by, it makes every gold nugget worth that much more.
Sometimes it really is the simple things. And when I saw the Chocobo digging return in Rebirth, I was very happy about it.

Even though it doesn't have quite the same streamlined satisfaction of selling the treasure and buying expensive materials to upgrade Vanille's wand and accessories, it's direct, simple, and freeform. Like many things in XIII, there is elegance in its simplicity.
