This is the HLX Miro board, a community compilation of information on HLX and related subjects. Covering datamined strings, employee hirings and interviews, and features found in CS2 and Deadlock. Spoilers for game content if you care for that. Scroll to get away from the memeshit.

Datamining new text strings from Source 2 game updates has been the primary avenue of finding out what Valve's been working on since 2016. It's how we found about Half-Life: Alyx (HLVR), Deadlock (Citadel), and CS:GO's Source 2 port actually being a thing. Once datamined manually, these strings are now automatically tracked by SteamDB through their GameTracking github repos. Here are the three big repos people currently hunt for HLX strings in with each update:

This is where Tyler, Gabefollower and their ilk get the vast majority of their info from.
Gabefollower, at least, links to these as a source and has a pastebin account with lists of compiled strings from these updates covering HLX, Deadlock, and CS2. Note the dates.

Not to this extent. Prior strings about HL3/Episode 3 were almost always leftovers from dead past projects. Mentions in Alien Swarm's fgd files, shit left behind in the Aperture Robot Repair demo, things that were never referenced again. HLX is different. It mirrors the pattern we've seen with Alyx, CS2, and Deadlock, where strings about them kept showing up in updates for other Source 2 games until they were released. We've been consistently getting HLX strings for 5 years now. It's coming, it's real.

Whether it gets announced or not, Tyler doesn't know shit. The only time he actually had insider info he pissed it away to stream Half-Life: Alyx's beta. Nobody's giving him shit now.
