As bad as the internet is, and it IS bad, imagine how much worse we would be if TV was the more popular form of mass media. We would all be boomers, every one of us, never exposed to a morsel of anti-regime reality. We would all be anti-racists who thought india was land of wonder and philosophy. The system could probably get away with even worse than it already does right now.

The late 90s to late 00s internet is one of the few truly great things to come out of modernity.
