What's the point of making metroidvania games when the genre reached it's pinnacle in 2019?

This was such a non memorable game for me. Like, it wasn't awful, but it was just sorta a quick little experience that didn't really do anything special. How it could be your favorite metroidvania is insane to me.

Luna Nights suck as a metroidvania though.
