Nah, many players came from duel links or hadn't played a digital yugioh client up to that point and found out the "baptism by fire" method is unpleasant and bailed from the game. Even I had to make a new account after my first one. I tried to force ancient gears and d/d/d right at the start (d/d/d actually did work for a while, but I had zero meta knowledge and HE didn't have a popular website at that point to reference).
