Hey, it's
>>11973056 again.
I'm enjoying the Miyoo Mini Plus a ton, and it's supplanted my Steam Deck as the retro gaming device, since it's nice to leave the Deck suspended on something besides RetroArch, and also keeping any progress made on the device I always have in my pocket. I'm not really much of a stickler for super accurate emulation, ideally it'd be cycle accurate, but I can manage with even allegedly "low quality" emulation.
Even still, I notice that emulating GBA games on my Steam Deck just "feels" better, than on the Miyoo Mini Plus, and wanted to ask why this is?
Please note, don't try to tell me it's impacting my gameplay, or give me really subjective stuff like "it increases the skung factor." My most played game in the past few days, on both systems, is Sonic Pinball party, and with save state + rewind fuckery some of these shots are tighter than a Royal Guard parry from DMC3, maybe even frame perfect, and I'm able to land them relatively consistently on both ("relative" because it's fucking pinball, even on a physical table I'll miss some of them). But again, I will concede that it just "feels" better on my Deck, beyond the higher resolution and ergonomics, and want to ask why is that?
Are some of the frames maybe lasting too long on the MM+? Does it run at like 57 fps instead of 60? I'm curious why there's such a discrepancy that I can feel it, but not easily see it, and I'm not asking because I think you guys are lying, I just never really cared enough to look into it since if an emulator doesn't outright break my game then I'd always considered it "good enough"
thanks
