The point was about the writers, not the events themselves. This page only fuels my point more, as the whole thing I'm trying to point out is how much harder the writers will go against other characters for something while letting Rarity off way easier for similar things. I can't think of a single comic where anyone went as hard against Rarity as Zecora does against AJ here, even when she does way worse. Now I suppose you could argue whether that's truly them being biased for Rarity, or if it's just them being biased against Applejack, it's harder to say. But I feel reasonably confident in saying most of the people who wrote for this series probably related a lot to Rarity, and as a result were more biased in her favor.
