I doubt it, the only chance of that happening would be if there was some crazy coach like Fernando Diniz or Muricy Ramalho in some South American team that played offensively.
Any team from South America is going to park the bus against a European team with better players.

its not more than a friendly anyway
Anonymous Brazil No.149161900 [Report]

Yes, but nobody wants to be beaten anyway.

- The priority is the Brasileirão and Libertadores, but I don't see how the Club World Cup can compete with those competitions. Flamengo can play up to 81 games this year. That's a lot. You need to have a bigger squad, different medical care, different preparation, among other things. It's more complicated than in other countries, and I don't think it's sustainable - said Bap in an interview with “Forbes” magazine.

No one is prioritizing this. But nobody wants to lose a game anyway.

I'd say someone would break in half their best player but these boca players are a bunch of old, injured, cold chested and colombian mother fuckers, I've never seen a team so badly built in my 40 years of life

This championship is a serious problem for Palmeiras.
After we win the final 3-0 against Manchester City, the year will be ruined because a climate of oba oba will be created.

Anonymous United States No.149162539 [Report]
No one can take this seriously and watch it because the gap in quality is too wide. Are the European clubs supposed to go hard and blow everyone out? Are they supposed to take it easy? No one knows
The gap between England and Europe is becoming insurmountable, not to even mention the gap between Europe and world clubs
Anonymous United Kingdom No.149162543 [Report] >>149162566
>>149162523
If you're a top European club and you win it, you stand to make around £95m (€111m). Friendly or not, that's a lot of money.
Anonymous United States No.149162566 [Report] >>149162640
>>149162543
That's another champions league basically
I just don't see how they're going to make this a viable comp if euro clubs go hard, it's going to be a euro final 4 every year what's the point
Anonymous United Kingdom No.149162640 [Report] >>149162683 >>149182149
>>149162566
If you're a top European club (the criteria is autistic) you get between like £15m-£30m just for participating. That's a decent amount. You get £1.5m per win in the group stage, £1m for a draw. Three games. So even if you don't get to the knock out stage you can still make decent money. It's the only way FIFA can make people actually try. Make the financial incentive so good that people try to win it because the money helps you buy top players.

It's utterly meaningless for like MLS clubs. Say Inter Miami somehow won it, they'd get like £60m or so (due to above criteria for appearing) and so what? It's not like they can spend that £60m on buying a couple of good players due to their rules. So it really only benefits top European clubs ANYWAY because there is no real signing restrictions.

I expect blow outs unless FIFA rigs it.

Right they basically have to fix it for it to make any sense
Does anyone think the champion of any league in north or south America can hold man city to less than 5 goals to 0 if they actually went all out

Not outside of FM or FIFA, probably not. I've won the CWC as Inter Miami many times. But in it, Messi and Suarez rape it up and I signed Otamendi and Pastore.

the american teams have the information advantage because the euro leagues are more prominent. if they come up with the right defense theyve got a chance. and the skill difference can be challenging for the better players. its hard to anticipate what someone will do if they arent capable of making the optimum move. like playing games with noobs online
