They were really banking hard on the whole “from the makers of Sonic Mania” shtick along with it getting a spot in nintendo’s directs. Though it is surprising just how badly it did in spite of that
Honestly though I never got why any one pulls this stunt, just rings as desperate and proof your game can’t stand on its own
