It would be too wonderful if there was a classic race where all or most of the older classes from the 90s~2000s (LMGTPs, LMP900s, LMP1s from the 2000s until 2009, GT1s and others) to race all together. The problem would be getting all the resources to make it, from the cars itself to the mechanics and the crew responsible for setuping the car. It's kinda surreal, but just seeing that there will be something simillar to this makes me really happy. It's pretty cool when old prototypes race on certains occasions like the Silverstone Classic or the Spa Classic, but most of the time it's just Group C cars, which isn't bad, but it would be cool to see more 2000s cars racing all along too.

Like by my super lazy cursory glance, the prime Rocket Man years had Newman winning 34 poles and 12 races in a 4 season period and of those only 2 of those overlapped. But 2/34 is still a better ratio than 38/700.

You can consider also in something like open wheel they have had 2-3 cars entered in nearly every race except for 1999 for the last like 40 years so even if Penske won both the pole and the race it may not have been the same car. Racing was also different in the 60s to 80s as far as qualifying having a lot less bearing on the races.

On the other hand wikipedia says they had 71 wins from 200 poles in IndyCar when they hit that milestone in 2018 so kek.
