I think we need to change how we see Stanley Cup champions and the Finals. I love the long history of the NHL, but most fucking people don't. my proposal is to start the modern era of the cup start from 1967. this was the first year the NHL wasn't just 6 teams beating the shit out of each other and winning the cup.

This does a fuck ton of good things for just the overall view of the game and the normal presentation. picrel is how the Cups would look if you only took into account the cup starting from the 1967 season. This makes understanding the teams from an organizational standpoint and how the teams are reflected in today's game.

Other leagues separate the eras in which the game was played. Any NFL fan bringing up the "championship" days is fucking stupid, and no NBA fans brings up the ABA days. I think bringing up the Original Six days outside of the reflecting that it was the true beginning of the league is also fuck dumb.
