Wrestling as a medium is completely dead and can never be recovered, and the main culprit of that is the fans themselves.
Modern day fans absolutely refuse to be invested in the program, because that means they could possibly get worked, and since the entire foundation of wrestling is working people, the product becomes what it is now.
Fans are mind melted by the possibility that they could be seen as marks or that someone could say "don't you realize that's all fake?" so everything in wrestling is just layer upon layer of wink wink irony.
Heels have no heat, and can never get any because everyone just says "Oh wow, he's playing that character great."
People don't care if their favorite wrestler wins or loses, they care if their favorite wrestler is booked to win or lose. Instead of being excited that a beloved wrestler won a title, they chant "You deserve it!" because what they're actually applauding is that the booker wanted to give them a fake title that means nothing to any of them, like a 65 year old at his retirement banquet being given a watch for dedication to the company.
These same people will proudly fight over politicians who don't care about them, will debate for two days how Iron Man could totally beat Superman in the latest marvel slop, and write out a thesis for why Joel and Ellie are one of the best stories in the history of media, but God forbid you get invested in and worked by a wrestling storyline. This, i have friends who are overweight and love to complain that i eat "nothing all day"

While they drink 2-4 energy drinks a day + multiple cans of full sugar soda (they like to buy 70+ cans a week because "its a good deal" it is very rare there is any left by the end of the week)

On top of all this mostly all meals are takeaway slop , snacking all day on sugary sweets/potato chips (this kids are "picky eaters" so all they want it chocolate and raw slop, and thats exactly what they get because the parents are the biggest retards ive ever met)

Nearly the entire household is either being diagnosed or already is diagnosed as being anaemic, every fucking day they just sit around "tired all the time" (none of them work or ever do anything that resembles exercise) yawning every 2 minutes, no motivation, no energy, always sore heads , sore backs etc

Ive tired to explain its all the sugar and lack of doing anything but they just go on the offensive instantly because "there is literally nothing we can do if we only want to eat raw sugar anon.."
