Should the story of Noah be taken literally?
Did God really destroy the world with a flood or is all that a metaphore?

It's to be taken literally
Don't let satan trick you into doubting it
Satan uses Noah's ark doubt to promote atheism and that leads to you supporting trannies and abortion
I pray for you right now in the name of jesus and the holy spirit that you will be protected from doubting the Holy Scripture and falling into the arms of satan

There was an ancient flood corroborated by many other people back then. The Catholic Church says you can take it literally or as an allegory so don’t worry too much about it. Focus on what Jesus said to do

It was certainly intended to be taken literally by the culture that produced it, however, God did not really destroy the world with a flood because the story is false.

You know that the Noah's ark and flood story is a plaigurized mythology
