The track fucked up the scheduling. Last weekend was their normal vintage race event where tickets were $100+, so it's not worth it to attend both in such a short time for most people. And the marketing probably made it confusing between the two

Generally though the attendance looks worse than it is - there are a ton of people camping and watching from non grandstands. That's why attending IMSA races is so comfy, there's no pressure to watch from a specific seat/etc

In the winter it gets very cold but I turn off the heat at night and leave a fan going on.

Basically all North American tracks are owned by cheap faggots and even if you had the political will to do local yellows they can't actually do jack shit because they don't have the equipment or track access to clean shit up without sending vehicles out from the pit lane anyways. Like look at any international level European or Asian track and they will have access roads that go all the way around the track probably on both sides so you can haul a car out of the gravel and send it back to the pits without stopping the race while most American shitholes that haven't been meaningfully upgraded since 1970 require bringing them back on a flatbed truck on the track because that's the only pavement in the entire property. Facility wise they're like street tracks, operating out of tents with diesel generators and shit too, often they don't even have real toilets.

Watkins Glen is particularly bad because large chunks of the track have guardrail right along the sides of the track so any stopped car will be on the track.

Neither, it’s genuinely my impression from watching them in Wec and here. For example at Le Mans we saw in qually the car could compete, not right at the top sure but not right at the back. But whenever you watch an on board, they don’t really race or fight at all. They are just trying to get round the track.

The only reason I can think they do this is because they know they don’t have the money to fix the car if it catches big damage. That might also explain the somewhat lacking driver line ups.

Gaben is fishing for more sponsorship money to help out and it’s working. It’s one of the most popular cars amongst fans despite its results

Maybe also to get mileage, they don't risk, more so that in IMSA they have only 1 car.
Somebody mentioned that at Le Mans qualy it looked like the car was very nervous when they pushed it, tried to step out and shit all the time
