Denver falling ass backwards into a multi-time MVP despite their is such a pivotal moment in league history. If the Nugs don't accidentally stumble into Jokic with a worthless second round pick, are they even a respectable francise right now? And more significantly, what about the fact that literally every team in the league could have drafted Jokic? In most cases a truly generational guy is only really an option for the top teams in the draft but Jokic was there for ANYONE.

Sacramento could have had Jokic instead of Stauskas. Orlando had *two* first-round picks and could have had the Gordon-Jokic combo for themselves. OKC could have paired him with Westbrook in his prime instead of drafting Josh Huestis. The Cavaliers could have still drafted Wiggins in the first round, drafted Jokic in the second and had a LeBron / Irving / Love / Jokic combo. Hypotheticals are easy to imagine but this is different. He was available in the mid-30's! Everybody whiffed so hard on Jokic.

its abundantly clear that absolutely nobody watched him play pre draft. i refuse to assume scouts are so bad they all passed on him. Embiid didnt even start playing until he was a teenager and he was an obvious high pick.
