This HAS to be the play. A broken Almeida, Yates is always unreliable and sometimes he had bad days. Wellens has worked a lot so far. Pollit cannot keep this up into week three. The other 3 are not out and out mountain domestique either.

All it would take is a bad day from a few of them and a cunning Jumbo attack to mount some extremely serious pressure on UAE. UAE themselves have lost Almeida as their tactical leverage, not that they'd have ever used him as such. If Visma play their cards right, which Wout will be absolutely pivotal for, they can cause a lot of damage to UAE but then it's up to Jonas to finish the job.

I really don't think this tour is over and I think we'll see some really chaotic racing to come. Visma are here to win and we've seen that already.

The final actually looks somewhat tough. 3-4% for a kilometer is nothing to be sniffed at. They'll probably still be doing it at around 50kph I'd imagine. Considering how much faster Milan is maybe this becomes a little more equal. I think I'd agree it's in favor of Girmay but only just. Should be a brilliant finish.

Insane odd for Girmay today considering the finish is 3-4% for a kilometer. I know the pros will be railing that final kilo and more them it's more like 1-2%. But 11/1, that obvious means 10£ returns you £110. A more technical race than a pancake those odds are absolutely brilliant. Milan and Merlier both return something around £25 each on a £10. Realistically the best bet here is making a 3 way bet across all of them just in case Bini does win. Worst case you're losing a few quid. I agree. Jorgensen seems to lack balls. He should have attacked yesterday or at least ridden to push the pace higher like Narvaez. Visma have some options and UAE look weakened. Jorgensen could be pivotal in this race, even just to make it far harder than it would have been.

There needs to be a meta plan to just kill pogacar in every single race he lines up at. And to do this for years. Try to kill him off because eventually he'll do fewer races and a shorter season. They need to kill him in anticipation for the vuelta too. With the WC and lombardia soon after, one would expect if you make the tour needlessly difficult he'll suffer at the vuelta and even more so at the WC and lombardia.

Yesterday visma created a bit of chaos and a split which ended in a big crash taking out Almeida, that works well. Create more chaos and throw the dice. Because visma sure isn't out climbing UAE in the mountains.

Start of the tour I saw something about rider starting to point their toes down a lot more. I wonder if that's why. Apparently when you have small cranks, you lose considerable amounts of leverage when pushing bigger gears and the ratio becomes very inefficient and you need to produce more torque to get on top of the gear compared to a longer crank.
