"Bad luck for most of the favorites. Including Jonas. I was at the front with Tim (Wellens, ed.). There were three Visme riders there. We tried to calm things down. But I don't think it's fair what his teammates did to Jonas. All three attacked and tried to break away. We tried to calm things down, but the three Visme riders kept attacking. In the end, I'm glad that Jonas and the others came back unharmed and safely to the main group," he told TV Slovenia.

He added: "If I were Jonas, I wouldn't be happy that the team was racing like that at that moment. He is second in the overall standings and proves his worth time and time again. Of course, stage wins are nice, but the overall standings are also very important."

Yeah I'm actually seething right now. Dude is treated like shit by his team. That's been so obvious for the last few years. Trek seem generally retarded in their tactics and just lean on a few strong riders to get all their results.

The tactics were retarded today and they have been all tour. Jumbo are now almost as hated as trek in my books. Extremely cynical racing acting like they're still the strongest riders in the peloton. Campenaerts could have won today if he wasn't endlessly arsing around.

I feel bad for Quinn. He rides like an Anglo. He still rides with honour and sportsmanship. Takes his pulls on the front, wants a group to collaborate so they can fight the victory out. G2 slurp has gotten really really bad recent years. Like of you make a gap and get 30s you're essentially given the win instantly. Breaks never chase with cohesion now.

Stinks of typical med tactics the slimy dishonest faking being tired, never taking pulls etc. Quinn really needs to do the same, the issue is a breakaway relies on honest riders to make it work.

He attacks and gets marked every time but when others go they get the gaps for free. I think he's too marked for one and maybe lacks absolute ecplosivity. The fact he's not been given combativity prize is a disgrace.

He makes a good point to be fair to him. I saw when they were attacking his waved his arm then got onto radio each time they attacked.
Seems wheels are falling off at jumbo. Like rats fleeing the ship in the way they are riding, particularly campenaerts today. Really ratty ride from him.

They knew Jonas wouldn't win, they knew he'd get 2nd. So coming in with mentality for stages is the correct move regardless what trine or anyone says. But the way they went about it today? That was filthy. Jumbo relegated to almost trek levels in my books.

Definitely. Stuyven is like a caged animal. It's become a very cosmopolitan team with no real national affiliation. I don't think that benefits any team. A lot of riders in there could get exceptional results elsewhere and have done, but at trek they achieve nothing. Vacek if unleashed would be an animal. To see him shackled to mads was kinda sad but he did a great job and they got the results.

I hate the team in general. Feels like they get lucky wins which isn't often true, but that's what it feels like.

Heating has been off for well over a month, my balcony door is wide open 24/7. My apartment has big windows and is in the sun for literally all day so the entire thing heats up during the summer and it stays warm thanks to the insulation. It genuinely isn't even that bad. Last summer I had eggs on the table next to a window and they got cooked in the sun. If I kept the windows on my glazed balcony closed that thing will heat up to well over 40 during the day even when it's under 30.

Tbh I'll much rather take this than AC set to cold. I'm comfy in the heat. I've heated up my sauna multiple times this week. And I'm next to a beach so I'll just go take a dip if I'm feeling too hot.

Meanwhile my sisters house is a modern insulated house with big windows and no shutters and their AC can't even keep it below outside temps when it's hot.

Maybe we should use more brick and less insulation. Less windows and more shutters. Like generations before us already knew.

Why did you quit nicotine? I like it if it's once or twice a day. I feel at peace. Smoking is obviously not ideal but not as bad as people think, I mean many pros smoked and a lot, it's not optimal but it's not so detrimental either.

Vapes I distrust for it being so cheap and full of chemicals. I never liked vapes and it's cringe fag shit, I see so many people especially drivers with a vape in their hands constantly.

Gum seems perfect. Hit of nicotine when I want. Discrete clean and significantly less impactful than inhaling.

Because it's an addiction that costs money and you don't need it. Yes it feels nice but once you actually kick the addiction you realize it really has no pro's. That's just how addiction works, it makes you believe it's just some harmless feel-good and you always find a bullshit reason for using it.
Why spend money and potentially harm your health (im gonna assume the gum will fuck your teeth or throat) for some "buzz" that adds nothing to your life.

Very similar to soda desu. I used to drink 1-2 cans of coke a day and after quitting nicotine I decided to kick the next bad habbit. Quitting that habbit was less intense in the short run but much harder in the long run. It took me half a year to lose all the cravings and stop finding excuses to have some anyways (but it's friday, but it's vacation, but i worked hard today, but its hot today, ...). Now I don't give a fuck anymore, you cant get me to drink that teeth destroying sugar anymore.

According to PCS's "Profile Score" rating, the hardest stage ever was stage 17 of the 1977 TdF.

Which I don't quite understand because Stage 18 of the Tour this year has comparable length (172km vs. 184 km), shares 2/3 climbs (Col de la Madeleine and Col du Glandon), and the third climb of 2025 (Col de la Loze) is harder than third climb of 1977 (Alpe d'Huez).

Yet the profile score for 2025 stage is 414 vs. 1977 stage at 715

Like bender drinking? I don't drink because it sends me insane but I'd almost certainly drive to 24hr petrol to get cigarettes, there's no doubt. The feeling of lighting up and smoking is very calming regardless. But I doubt you're as impulsive as I am and if you want nicotine when drinking the gum will certainly deliver that. It is only my first day using it. I doubt my gums would be too affected but I've not looked into that. I'm sure it's significant better than smoke in the mouth. I'd try it, Β£10 for 105 pieces so around 10p a gum. Gum lasts about 30 minutes, chew a few times, leave it for 5 minutes and repeat until it's not giving nicotine sensation. At least that's how I used it.

The findings suggest that aspartame has the potential to impact various cancer-related proteins, potentially raising the likelihood of cellular carcinogenesis by interfering with biomolecular function. Furthermore, the study found that the action patterns and pathways of aspartame-related targets are like the mechanisms of known carcinogenic pathways, further supporting the scientific hypothesis of its potential carcinogenicity.

PCSman is just lazy, the 1977 value is what the value would be if every climb does not have distance from the finish factored in. I assume because he didn't have the profile he doesn't have the information of distance to the finish so his algorithm just sees the three climbs with unspecified distances and so doesn't assign a weight based on distance, so gives a massively overinflated value.

The level of performance among world elite riders is naturally very close, probably to the second decimal place in Watts/kg, because each one of them is already an exceptional talent that has been filtered from countless amateurs. If one of them is showing ~10% higher performance than everybody else again and again it's like one Olympic sprinter running a whole second faster over 100m than all his competitors with ease.

Yep, and mohoric with is "shhh" gesture after his stage win. Astana we're almost outright banned in the mid 10's. It's why I think sky were largely clean. Their climbing times were shit. They just abused TUE's and probably used them as weight strippers like salbutamol. That whole generation largely stayed at the same level and they're pretty much all shit now, except from the Yates and maybe a few other.

Sky generation is sandwiched between ultra dopers in the 00's and ultra dopers in the 20's.

Their data of old stages has terrible quality done with old GPS, they have something that automatically calculates the score, so if you give bad GPS data it makes a wrong profile score
Let's say the real climb has a regular 7%, the old GPS instead of showing somewhat regular like 8% then 6% then 9% then 6% etc does like 100m at 30%, then 100m downhill, then again 100m at 30% etc. so their calculator sees all those rampas and thinks they are real and gives an high score

>It's completely hopeless the way they're driving. I don't understand anything.
>After Sunday's stage, it's legitimate to ask whether he should look for another team. They clearly don't have him as a priority. It's so disappointing to see.
>Even Pogacar said he didn't understand how three of Jonas' Visma riders could take turns attacking at the front when Jonas was hanging at the back of the peloton. He had to chase after the Visma riders, and as long as he does that, it's impossible for Jonas to get back up. Excuse me, but this is fucking critical.
>Maybe Trine saw it coming when she announced it at the start of the Tour.
>I think it's really a shame that we have to sit and discuss this. We have a Dane who has won the Tour twice, who we cheer for. We want to see him be good. Sparkle and win the Tour. And then they screw him up like that.
>The team is cutting him in the middle, and I really think it's rude. What the hell are they thinking? There are no other teams that do that.
>Jonas is not getting the support he needs. It's obvious, and it's problematic. Right now he's riding on the wrong team, but he also needs to ride on a crew that's strong enough to back him up.
>As a Dane, I just think: 'Hmm, you have to do something about that, Jonas.' How fast does he have to go before Visma believes in him?
>And yes, I understand that you have another superstar in Wout van Aert on the team, but I don't care. He is clearly more interested in riding his own Tour than helping Vingegaard.
>Now show the man some respect. He has fought for what he does, and show respect for the class rider he is. He really deserves it, and I really have a hard time seeing why it has to be like this.
>The problem is that the management has promised van Aert that he can do as he pleases.
>It ended up with a situation on Sunday's stage where Jonas seemed abandoned by his team, who were more interested in winning the stage.

It wasn't sweat that killed it. The screen just delaminated from the rest of the computer on its own and then on a wet race day it took in water and died. And I'm not the only one who had this happen to them. The original ROAM models had some problems with screen delamination from what I've heard. I was really happy with Wahoo but I got a mega deal on a 840 when that happened and decided to give Garmin a go. They both have their pros and cons, I'd be happy on either platform.

>If the signs of weakness continue, however, there is a real chance that Jonas Vingegaard will win. He can even do it in two ways. The most obvious is of course that he drops his rival, and even though it is not obvious when the stage is so explosive and he probably only has 8 km to do it, I would still consider the chance better than on Saturday, when the climb is more difficult and he has a tailwind on the other part. It doesn't matter if the explanation for a possible Pogacar weakness is illness or fatigue, but the trend at Vingegaard seems to be at least an increasing form curve, as we also usually see. And if he gets away from Pogacar, he will probably last all the way. It is Vingegaard who has picked up Pogacar before and not the other way around, because he traditionally benefits from the length of the climb. However, the headwind is a wild card that could break him if Pogacar has company, but there shouldn't be people who are so close to the two giants that it becomes an option.

54cm aero frame because I'm a bit of a manlet. Ultegra di2. Fancy wheels, not the fanciest though. I think 30mm carbon or something shallow. It isn't top spec. But enough for me.

Debating carbon bars or just standard stem + bars for crash resistance and money saving. Tyres will possibly be vitorias corsa. Sexy tan wall TLR's. I don't know about pedals though, not sure which power pedals to get. Always ran a left hand stages. Ideally it'd be speed play but those are like 900 quid. I hate clipping in fast with shimanos.
